The Inteleos’ Board of Directors and it’s management team are composed of a diverse mix of leaders with extensive experience in global healthcare, technology, business, education and finance. Working together, with our esteemed ARDMS, APCA and Point-of-Care Ultrasound Academy Councils, as well as our Inteleos Foundation, we continue to strengthen and expand both the breadth and depth of our leadership teams – with 39 new members added to our governance leadership team and over 20 medical specialties now represented. We also have 7 leaders working on our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access (I.D.E.A.) team and 19 POCUS Global Ambassadors working in 19 countries.

Luciana Young, MD, FAHA, FACC, FASE

Luciana Young is the Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at Seattle Children’s Hospital and a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington.   Her clinical and research focus is on non-invasive imaging, including transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography, as well as  cardiac genetics.  Dr Young has actively contributed to educational, advocacy, and research initiatives to ensure excellence in cardiovascular ultrasound and its application to patient care.  She has been a volunteer with ARDMS and then Inteleos since 2006, and is devoted to assuring that all patients receive the highest quality of health care.

Teresa Bieker, MBA, CRA, RDMS, RDCS, RVT

After working for 24 years as a sonographer and in ultrasound management,  I have transitioned to Manager of Radiology Quality at UCHealth, University of Colorado Hospital.  I have been a volunteering with ARDMS/Inteleos since  2003. I hold a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare from the University of Colorado.

Ian Necus 

Ian brings over 30 years of experience in technology, assessment, and education to this position on the Board. Some of his most recent work includes serving as an executive consultant to the CIO’s at the USC Keck School of Medicine and Colibri Training, as well as serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at PSI, an assessment and talent management solutions provider.

Trish Turner, BS, RDMS, RVT, FSDMS

Tricia Turner received her BS Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 1996 and is a 1999 graduate of the South Hills School of Business & Technology Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. While working in the clinical environment, Trish joined the South Hills faculty in 2002 where she’s taught various courses including ergonomics, embryology, obstetrics, gynecology, abdomen, and vascular sonography. Trish was promoted to the Director of South Hills’ DMS Program in 2015 after serving as Assistant Director for the previous ten years. In January of 2023, she accepted the position of Assistant Director of Education for South Hills School in addition to her role as DMS Program Director. Tricia has contributed several chapters in various textbooks and has also been involved in various research where sonography was instrumental. She is passionate about giving back to the sonography profession and volunteers for various organizations including Inteleos/ARDMS where she served as Chair of the ARDMS Council from January 2020-January 2022 and joined the Board of Directors of Inteleos in January 2022. Trish has also served in various positions within SDMS including chair of the Annual Conference Management Committee from 2015-2021. In her down time, Trish and her husband enjoy traveling to watch and support their son play hockey.

Carrie Hayes, MHS, PA-C, RDMS (AB,OB), RVT

Carrie Hayes is an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant with nearly 10 years of experience, currently working at a private practice in Southern Oregon. Her clinical interests encompass image-guided procedures, vascular access, and patient care across various areas of Interventional Radiology, including Interventional Oncology and Women’s Health. She has been a diagnostic medical sonographer who is board certified in abdomen, obstetrics, and gynecology, as well as a registered vascular technologist for more than 17 years.  Carrie began her career as a sonographer at Duke University Medical Center before obtaining her PA certification from Duke University School of Medicine. She has held positions at Stanford Health Care and the Houston Medical Center, focusing on expanding clinical IR services and mentoring healthcare providers. In addition to her clinical work, she is involved in global health initiatives through RAD-AID International, where she has lectured on ultrasound education in over 30 countries. Recently named Inteleos’ POCUS Ambassador to the U.S., Carrie is also the Chair of the Society of Interventional Radiology’s NP/PA Governing Council, advocating for advanced practice providers in IR. Her commitment to education and mentorship remains central to her professional endeavors.

Leah Jolly, MSAH, RVT, RPhS

Leah Jolly hails from Klamath Falls, OR. She has a passion for teaching, and currently operates as Program Director and Assistant Professor of the Vascular Technology program at Oregon Tech. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Leah worked as a Vascular Technologist and lead sonographer for Mint Medical and Kaiser Permanente in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has volunteered with the ARDMS since 2009, presently serving as Chair of the ARDMS Council.  Leah enjoys keeping up with her husband and children, coaching her kids’ Little League and volleyball teams, traveling, and doing just about anything outdoors.

Joshua Robinson, MD, FASE, FSCMR 

Dr Robinson is an associate professor of Pediatrics and Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a pediatric cardiologist at Lurie Children’s Hospital. His interests include clinical-translational research, medical education, non-invasive cardiac imaging and cardiovascular service line development with the overall goal to improve health outcomes for children with cardiovascular disease. His research goal is to expand the use of cardiac imaging in patients with pediatric and congenital heart disease in order to gain insights into mechanisms of disease progression, reduce the need for costly, invasive procedures and improve clinical outcomes.  As a medical director and NIH funded investigator, he has significant experience with study design, clinical trial recruitment, database architecture, digital health strategy and clinical process improvement. As an academic section head, he is invested in graduate medical education, faculty mentorship, professional coaching and program development.

Raymond Russell, MD, PhD

Raymond Russell, MD, PhD is a Professor of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He has served as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology, Director of Cardio-Oncology, and Program Director of the cardiology fellowship at the same institution. He received his BA from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his internal medicine residency training and cardiology fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine. Following fellowship, he joined the faculty in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale. He moved from Yale to Brown in 2015. He is past-president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Master of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is the Chair of the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement. His clinical interests focus on cardio-oncology and nuclear cardiology, specifically diagnosis of ischemic heart disease and infiltrative diseases of the heart.

Neil Sahota, MHP, CGEIT, PgMP

Neil Sahota is the CEO of ACSI Labs, an IBM Master Inventor, United Nations (UN) A) Advisor, author of the book Own the A.I. Revolution., and faculty at UC Irvine. He is a business solution advisor to several large companies and sought-after keynote speaker. Over his 20+ year career, Neil has worked with enterprises on the business strategy to create next generation products/solutions powered by emerging technology as well as helping organizations create the culture, community, and ecosystem needed to achieve success such as the UN’s AI for Good initiative. Neil also actively pursues social good and volunteers with nonprofits. He is currently helping the Zero Abuse Project prevent child sexual abuse as well as Planet Home to engage youth culture in sustainability initiatives.

Vera Zlidar, MHS 

Vera’s Global Health career spans over 20 years and includes multiple vantage points. She has worked at academic institutions, nonprofits, donor organizations, and the private sector. Having started her career in family planning, reproductive, and maternal health, the last 10 years she has been focused on strengthening health systems in low- and middle-income countries.

Vera leads the strategy and growth of US Pharmacopeia’s Global Health Programs as Director for Global Business Development. Previously, she led the Global Health practice at Deloitte Consulting and was a Global Health Fellow at USAID/Washington where she shaped USAID global health investments in Asia, including designing programs in maternal health, family planning/reproductive health, tuberculosis, urban health, and health systems strengthening in Central Asia, India, Myanmar, and regionally.

Vera is the first author of the first edition of the World Health Organization’s book, Family Planning: A Global Handbook for Providers. She has a Master of Health Science in International Health and Population Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Dale is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for Inteleos, the umbrella governance and management organization for the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA). Dale has been an executive within the certification community for 17 years. Inteleos is a dedicated ANSI-ISO 17024 accredited organization with 107,000 active certificants across 70 countries and delivers computer-based examinations in 28 countries.  Inteleos global expansion includes customized examinations in China and is presently developing a Latin American physician-based ultrasound certification program for a diverse physician practice population.

Dale has given numerous lectures and workshops in areas of business and certification throughout the world and presently sits on the Board of Directors for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Association of Talent Development (ATD) Credentialing Institute.  Dale is also a co-inventor of patent for a new type of test question and measurement.

Dale has an MBA in finance from the Albers School of Business and Economics, Seattle, WA and also holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
